"With Halloween just a few days away and the election one week from today, now is the perfect time to consolidate your love for costumes with your passion for politics."

So, my first entry in months ends up being this particularly pointed jab at the GOP ticket. The idea, as stated, was a political cartoon made in the spirit of the season. Of course, as far as costumes went, Dark Knight was not far from my mind!

Palin as the Joker came to me immediately, based purely on the Dark Knight incarnation. McCain is more inspired by Eckhart's portrayal while he much more physically resembles the Tommy Lee Jones incarnation of the character. This was strictly an aesthetic choice, as I found it to be more difficult to properly replicate the charred look of the former using this much more sketchy cartooning style.
